October, the kiss of autumn arrives,
the retirement of sun, as the summer subsides,
the beautiful hues of tanned yellow and deep red,
the tickle of the breeze as you lie down in bed.
October, the tress courtsey and take a bow,
corduroys and leathers whisper loud,
apples and pumpkins, sweet potato pies,
as winter tip toes, fall flies high.
Don’t you just love October?
